Equipment for transportation like wheelchairs and stretchers face compatibility issues in terms of space in emergency vehicles like ambulances. At times, the size of the ambulance is expanded to accommodate the necessary equipment; this might not be a favorable solution to the problem.
So, JTBD is reducing the bulk of equipment the paramedics normally use while tending to patients.

Generally, shifting patients between wheelchairs and stretchers is a hassle and takes a lot of time. This is something that causes an undesired waste of time for both paramedics and patients, especially during times of emergency which requires quick transportation of patients to the hospital and the patient’s survival is at risk. Due to this undesired waste of time, both paramedics and patients suffer from tiredness and at times, even feel stressed out.
So, JTBD is creating a method that facilitates the transfer of patients by paramedics in a quicker, convenient, satisfactory, comfortable, and safe way between a wheelchair and stretcher.

So, JTBD is to design an equipment such the purpose of both wheelchair and stretcher is served and it can be easily accommodated in almost all emergency vehicles.
